A designer who ships.
I write production code every day. I got there by teaching myself to build with AI and proving it by shipping: entire products, from agentic tools to apps for smart glasses.
Over the past decade, I've evolved from a creative generalist into a product-minded designer with a love for systems, strategy, and speed. Wherever I was needed (brand, UX, product, or code) I jumped in, learned fast, and shipped.
Today I'm a senior design engineer on the AI Platform team at Spare, a transit-tech company. I own the company's design system and the AI skill that keeps AI-assisted code on-system, work that supports teams like the Agentic Factory as Spare builds with AI agents. It's the job the last few years were preparing me for: part product design, part systems thinking, part hands-in-the-code. My last release I owned end to end: concept to production launch in a month, then international rollout and impact measurement. Six customer agencies self-served their own rollout in the first eleven days, no account manager required.
Before Spare, I designed POS workflows for restaurants and stadiums at Shift4, turning real-world constraints into scalable interfaces. And before that, 11+ years at Eigen growing into a hybrid role that blended design, marketing, product strategy, and front-end implementation, where I learned to think cross-functionally and ship under pressure.
Outside work I run experiments that keep me sharp: apps for smart glasses (an AI cue-deck, live lyrics, voice-first navigation), an AI matchmaker called Blindish, and Vancouver Vibe Coders, a meetup for people building with AI. All of it runs in the real world today.
